The option Manage topic mappings offers a Country Manager the same functionality to administer topics as an Institution Manager, which is described over here. The only differen between this functionality for a Country Manager and an Institution Manager is the fact that when creating a topic mapping a Country Manager can choose from connecting any Source Guide from any institution within his/her part of the Archival Landscape, whereas an Institution Manager can only select a Source Guide made available within the institution he/she is creating the topic mapping for.
The option Manage content offers a Country Manager the same functionality to administer the content for one or more institutions as an Institution Manager. The only difference is that institutions that appear in the dropdown list for a Country Manager have no Institution Manager assigned yet. Once the Country Manager assigns one of the institutions he has managed so far to an Institution Manager, that particular institution will disappear from the dropdown list of the Country Manager.
